Flow Arts: Poi

1
What are we learning?

Anything from beginner concepts with your poi to complex patterns and partner work, and whatever else we can dream up.

With Physio Flows, you are getting personalized, small-group instruction, focused on quality of movement with your poi so that you can improve, fix or maintain your flow arts in a healthy way. We want you to keep doing the things you love for a very long time.

2
How big are the classes?

To keep costs reasonable, we need a minimum of 3 students, and can accommodate more with some notice.

While we would love to do private poi lessons for individuals, the cost just doesn't make sense for most people. If it *does* make sense for you, then just scheduled a normal visit and in the comments, leave a note about what you are looking for (i.e. help with poi spinning).

What is the fee structure for classes?

That entirely depends on the number of students, and what we are working on. Classes are in a series of 4 weekly sessions. You sign up and schedule the first session, and then you pay for the remaining sessions when they are scheduled.

We try to keep the following sessions on the same day and at the same time as the first.

  • For 3-5 students learning basics with standard poi, the price will be $40 per student for a 60-minute session.
  • For 3-5 students learning more complex flow using lit fire poi, a surcharge of $20 would be added per student for a 60-minute session. This will include fuel and use of props if you do not own them.

For more information, scheduling, and to ask questions, please contact us!

That seems expensive... Why so much?

There are so many resources for learning to spin poi, and other flow arts. You can search YouTube, Udemy, and others, and just learn to spin your prop.

The difference with Physio Flows is that you will have in-person training and coaching, and learn how to do your flow in proper form, get tips and tricks for improvement, and solve any issues giving you pain -- from a professional and licensed physical therapist -- who understands the world of flow and performance.

5
This is the best place for you to ask questions!

Bring the things you have been struggling with and we can process through them. Let's fix those tricks that are messy, painful, weird or just seemingly hard for you to do.

Classes will be held in Miamisburg, Ohio.

After signing up, you will be sent the location and liability waiver.
