Unraveling the Hidden Struggles of Hypermobility

The healthcare system is very limited in it’s understanding of those of us with hypermobility issues (including poor stability at the joints throughout the body and sometimes extreme flexibility). It has poor recognition, diagnosis and especially treatment.

I have suffered from headaches and neck pain most of my life, yet treatments offered were very limited and had no long term benefits. It wasn’t until I went through the process of becoming a Physical Therapist that I started to understand some of my own issues.

While flexibility and general movement is important, it is the quality of that movement and how stable you can make your joints while performing that movement that are the most important and frequently overlooked pieces of the human puzzle.

This is one of the reasons I started Physio Flows, to help others find the stability in motion that they need to enjoy the quality of life they want.

Just because someone looks normal, does not mean they aren't suffering pain or having difficulty with normal activities. Just because someone is flexible does not mean their body is normal.
